Mostly about effectivity vs. efficiency in terms of game programming.
Back and forth, back and forth
After a bit of testing, I decided to install the newer Crunchbang version as my new distro. It became surprisingly good (even better than before) and it also has all the software I tools I use, too, by default. Just a bit here and a bit there and I'm happy. Very happy - to finally have a working laptop. I like using my pandora, but I can't get myself to type longer than an hour on my Pandora as it's clearly not made for my big hands to type that long on it.
Anyway, I can only wholeheartedly recommend Crunchbang in the current 11 version.
